20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA: AN INTERACTIVE ADVENTURE
MOODY GARDENS
GALVESTON, TX
Set in the late 19th century, this 4D animated choose-your-own-adventure interactive show created for Moody Gardens in Galveston, TX is a fantastic adventure following “Deep” the pufferfish, his robot sidekicks “Torque” and “Echo”, and his animal friends as we explore the seas aboard the Nautilus.
Special thanks to Robert Coker for writing this show, the tech duo Steve Rosolio and Tim Williams for developing the Geppetto system, my art intern Erin Shin who painted so many of our final pieces and Leona Jager who supported the creative team with her graphic design wizardry. This was an incredible team effort from all my talented colleagues at Super 78.

My role as the art director required me to wear the most hats I’ve ever worn in a project: concept design of digital environments and scenic design of a real physical attraction space, character design, graphic design for signage, UI design and development for our back-end controls, animation direction of the media in the show, and on-site direction of fabrication and set decoration.
