When I was approached by my pal Carlos Ortega at the Museum of Latin American Art, I was ecstatic to accept his invitation to art direct this show. I lived 2 blocks away from the MOLAA for several years, and it was an honor to be a small part of its history.

This exhibit highlighted the connections of tattooing history to Latino/ Chicano culture and the worldly inspirations which bring us such beautiful tattoo styles here today. Additionally, individuals with unique pasts and experiences were invited to share their stories and get tattooed by a famous tattoo artist.
